My Signature Generator for Elsword

So, back in 2010, I was playing a free-to-play MMORPG called Elsword and using their forums. I noticed a need for a tool to create little images to use in my signature to keep track of all my in-game characters (level, class, etc). After a little Googling, I realized that there there wasn't a site out there that could do what I wanted already so I got on to making my own. I originally spent about 2 days straight of coding (no sleep) to have the beta version up and running. This one was basic and pretty ugly, but it got the job done. I shared the site with the game's forum and, after some skepticism from the players, it started to blow up in popularity. I was getting feature requests and praise from people all over.

The site mostly maintained itself for about a year, but updates came to the game and I felt obligated to keep the site relevant. I had about 2,000 registered users at this time. I made some minor updates to what information you can show and the general look of the signatures but I was already starting to realize how sloppy and hard to manage my code was but I didn't have the time to do a complete rewrite. Fast forward to 2013 and I finally felt it was time to make drastic changes. I feverishly applied every ounce of web development knowledge I had at the time to make a cleaner, prettier, and more user friendly tool. This is what you see today.

Anyone who plays Elsword can sign up now and create as many signatures for their characters as they like. (As of writing this, I have 8,730 users who have created a total of 29,021 signatures.) Users can display and update their character name, guild name, class, current level, nationality, and PVP rank. My tool generates an image for them and gives them the URL to it. Whenever a user updates their signature at my site, it automatically updates it on every site that they have linked their image to so they don't have to do any extra work to keep up-to-date.

This is currently my most popular site that I still maintain to this day. Hopefully, it continues to grow.
